Company History

During the mid 90s  Douglas Page, Paul Fife, and George Miller were working for an independent agency in Idaho Falls, known as Voigt-Davis Realty.

Douglas, Paul and George were good friends working hard in real estate to get ahead and had a vision of going out on their own and being their own bosses with “no worries or regrets!”.

On January 2nd, 1995, the three started High Desert Realtors, Inc. As a result, five agents were up and running, ushering in a new era of real estate in the Southeast Idaho/Idaho Falls area.

Year after year the office grew. With  now 30+ agents they eventually had to move their office to a bigger location.

Patrick Malone joined High Desert Realtors Inc in 1998. He is currently the Broker and the longest-tenured agent ,other than one of the original owners, Paul Fife, who remains active today.

The 90s blew by ,and early the 2000s brought our first name change to the franchise, High Desert Realtors GMAC. A year later it was changed back to High Desert Realtors.

Sad news came to the brokerage in 2000 when one of the founding owners, George Miller, became terminally ill. 

In 2003, George approached Kerry Howell, a recent recruit from CENTURY 21 Advantage, and told Kerry, “I have a deal for you (as only George could say with his laugh and grinning ear to ear), I think you’re the right person to take my place”. 

George left such big shoes to fill and a loving heart….It just wasn’t the same after he left. He was so adored by ALL!!!  

In June of 2004, the new ownership consisted of Douglas Page, Paul Fife, and Kerry Howell.

Meanwhile, exciting changes were taking place in the commercial real estate market. In 2009, High Desert Realtors purchased another franchise known as, Sperry Van Ness High Desert Commercial, which is known today as SVN High Desert Commercial.
